Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Meanwhile, a minor was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has increased strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.

The strikes succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the area, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and officials were bracing for more assaults.
